Real time radiography (RTR) systems
Basically a BALTOMATIC is an enclosure in which any kind of our generators or detectors can be mounted. Shielding of enclosures and power supplies are all integrated according to the application to be fulfilled.
BALTEAU offers an extended range of products dedicated to the inspection of different kinds of Products. Automatic Inspection Systems (AIS) are existing for various industries; agriculture (seeds sorting, biology (cell irradiation), security, casting, foundry, training centers, ...
A System is an independent unit that is designed to perform inspections tasks in manual, semi or automatic mode with or without the assistance of an operator. It is generally a combination of several elements interconnected together going from the Shielded enclosure to the manipulator and the Imaging software for digital solutions.
BALTEAU NDT is known for it’s long tradition in the manufacture of X ray units and as a solution provider in systems for about 100 years. Systems built by BALTEAU NDT can either be unique as sometimes your products are or built as small series for general purposes applications. BALTEAU is indeed specialised in providing THE adequate and customised solution to simple or complex products.
The Baltomatic series is showing you a basic overview of what has been produced by BALTEAU in the recent years and all Systems presented in this brochure can be adapted or modified to fit exactly into your own requirements.

The AIS201 is a Real Time Radiography (RTR) inspection system especially designed for the control of welded cylinders.
This cost effective inspection system will drastically cut down the inspection time and cost, thanks to its motorized (automatic optional) handling 5 axis manipulator.
The XSD160 is a stationary constant potential X-ray generator specially suited to the RTR inspection, thanks to its high dose stability.

The AIS202 gas bottle inspection system is especially designed to meet the needs of manufacturers who request a manual, reliable and efficient cylinder welding inspection system.
This shielded cabinet protects from X-ray radiations in compliance with the most stringent regulations:
0,5 µSv/h @ 10 cm from the surface for non professionals.
The cabinet is equipped with one large door for loading/unloading, installation and maintenance.
Our entire range of directional BALTOSPOT portable generators, driven by the CF2000 or the Hand-X control unit, can be fitted with the AIS202.

The AIS228 is a very compact equipment that provides you with numerous advantages. A wide variety of samples as well as different thicknesses can be inspected with this unit. This shielded cabinets includes, as irradiating source, a directional X-ray generator from the very well-known and efficient Baltospot range. These cabinets are generally made of a steel structure with lead reinforcement to assure a proper shielding against radiation outside of the confined area ("sandwich" type assembly : steel-lead-steel).
This user-friendly equipment can be very easily operated with a maximum safety.

The LS1C is the ultimate OEM version for Systems Integrators. This version is delivered with its control protocol which includes all the basics commands to set up and perform X-ray exposures.
The LS1C interfacing with PC software allows you to manage from the preparation (preheating, modes, etc…) to the X-ray exposure.
The System integrator is then free to design its Generator/LS1C interface according to its own standards while using the protocol and commands supplied with the unit.
All the features developed on the regular LS1 such as the automatic recognition of BALTOGRAPH generators and TSC/TSD tubeheads, diagnostic and the maintenance modes are also presents through the independent Graphic interface of the LS1C.

This small cabinet is designed mainly to be used in laboratories. Its main purpose is for irradiation of small samples. It is usually delivered with a 100 kV tube but higher energies are available.
This cabinet is made of steel structure covered with leaded panels and is equipped with a heavy duty door providing a very strong behaviour.
This enclosure complies with the most severe international regulations on radiation hazards, including NFC 74100 and DIN 54113. The X-ray leakage is reduced to 0,5 µSv/h @ 10 cm from the surface for the proposed X-ray source (public persons).

The LS1D is the System version of our LS1 desktop control unit. This version is then designed to be integrated in Cabinets and Electrical enclosure or bays
The LS1D is a micro processor based unit able to drive any generators of the BALTOGRAPH® series. From 100kv models to 450 kV, this control unit will automatically recognize, Units and tubes connected.
An innovative and evolutive embedded software made by Radiographers, with downloadable additional features, is the brain of all operations and thanks to the central Ball navigator®, operations and selections are becoming intuitive and easy.
The Large TFT colour screen eases the reading of parameters and highlights the important information that are on the screen.
Working status can visually be checked at all time to ensure maximum security.

The CLMB collimator is a unit that is to be used in conjunction with Image Intensifiers (BIX) to reduce the size of the beam that is not attenuated by the placement of the object. This unit helps greatly in improving Image quality moreover with small objects or components having complex shapes and hollow structures aside to plain ones.
The CLMB is ideal for reducing blurring and effects of scattered or diffused radiation on the image. The collimator acts as a mobile window reducing or defining the limits of the beam to the detector sizes or portion of area to be covered.
The unit is designed to be attached on the majority of existing Image Intensifiers

X-ray beam size and shape is defined by the inherent construction of the Tube. The way the target is positioned, the shielding and housing designs are largely influencing the beam cone, but this is fixed and sometimes not adequate to the imaging detector or Shielding environment. The use of a collimator is then very useful when you want to precisely control the cone shape and extent.
The collimator acts as a mobile window reducing or defining the limits of the beam to the detector sizes or portion of area to be covered.
Made out of highly absorbing material, shutters are remotely moved with electric motors operated from the control room.
