The Support on Wheels is part of the Balteau NDT accessories range and is designed for the positioning of the X-ray source which is decisive and essential to the success of an exposure.

For preheating purpose, a lead obturator can be purchased for all Baltospot & Baltograph units. A obturator is made of steel and lead stopping the X-ray exposure on the component to be inspected. X-ray beam size and shape is defined by the inherent construction of the Tube. The way the target is positioned, the shielding and housing designs are largely influencing the beam cone, but this is fixed and sometimes not adequate to the imaging detector or Shielding environment. The use of a collimator is then very useful when you want to precisely control the cone shape and extent.

The collimator acts as a mobile window reducing or defining the limits of the beam to the detector sizes or portion of area to be covered.

The stative Tripod can be used both with every portable generator from the Baltospot range as well as most of the tubehead from the Baltograph and flat panels detectors from Baltoscope.

This stand has been designed to move up to the 450 kV tubehead. The height of the focal spot is adjustable between 500 mm and 2400 mm.

The X-ray beam can be oriented at any angle between the vertical and horizontal positions. The crane can be mounted with any of the tubeheads. Each tubehead is mounted on the hydraulic appropriate clamp (not shown on picture).

Once the angle of the X-ray beam is chosen it remains the same whatever the height from the ground.

When operating a stationary or mobile unit, it may be interesting to have an assistance for the tube positioning. Precise positioning at angle and height is indeed easier with the proper support adapted for the handling of such equipment. UTS01 is the right element to help you with your tube handling problems.

The tube is held by a strong steel tubing which gives the ability to move the tube in three different axis. Strong castor wheels are allowing the whole assembly to be moved on flat surfaces. Height adjustment can be either manual or motorised. 

The tube is handled by a steel handling circle that comes around the tube guides which allows it to move on its own axis. The tube can be moved up and down (Z axis) either by a motor (UTS02) with up and down switches or by manual operation (UTS01 oil assisted manual pump). The tube can also be swivelled left or right. The motorised version is acting on an Hydraulic pump with a steel chain to lift the tube on the Z axis.

The UTS03 is part of a complete range of Balteau NDT stands making the use of X-ray generators and tubeheads easier and more convenient for the operator. The positioning of the X-ray source is decisive and essential to the success of an exposure. The UTS03 can be adapted with all directional tubeheads (up to 450kV tubehead) of the Baltograph range. Each tubehead or generator maybe mounted on the stand with an adapted support. The UTS03 is very compact and has been designed to ease handling and transportation of heavy equipment.

The tube is handled by a steel handling circle that comes around the tube guides which allows it to move on its own axis. The tube can be moved up and down (Z axis) by a motor and can rotate on its longitudinal and vertical axis. This stand can move up to 120kg. The height of the focal spot is adjustable between 500 mm and 1900 mm by using the electrical control unit. The tubehead position is secured by two independent steel wires and can not drop along its vertical axis.
